MinMax3d is an influential CGI artist who has created numerous works featuring women experiencing breast expansion (B.E.) and height increase. Several other creators, such as AZmaybe9, DragoonGTS, and Gearrain, have cited MinMax3d as one of their favorites. Personally, I enjoy the playful nature of the many gentle growing scenarios. Hard not to appreciate a pretty blonde nurse increasing in size while being voiced by Miss Moonified! That’s a reference to the half-minute long Nurse Minq animation. The giantesses are often video game characters like Ganyu and Yae Miko (both from the Genshin Impact franchise), and Rylai (from Defense of the Ancients (DOTA)). Virtual reality (VR) versions of many of the animations can be purchased in crisp 4K high resolution. Fans can follow MinMax3d on DeviantArt, buy their works on Gumroad, and support them via Patreon.
#1) Can you tell the readers a little about yourself?
I’m MinMax3d, a person with overly specific tastes in size art and a coincidental set of skills and resources to make some on my own. Most people who see my works probably just know me as a CG artist, though I actually work as a computer science researcher in the CG field. I spent a few of my high school years studying the art side of things before realising that I’m just not very good at it, but I dabbled just enough into it to make content. I’d used to think I could learn more from the artists at studios I’ve partnered with for research (through osmosis or something), but it turns out their technique is just being way better than me haha. At the very least, I keep very up-to-date with the best workflows and tools as part of this occupation.
People who follow my Discord already know about this, but I am currently on hiatus to focus on my PhD. Hopefully I’ll be able to commit time to projects more regularly after the ordeal. It’s hard to sustain interest in projects that end up taking too long because of long breaks in between.
#2) How did you first become interested in growing women?
I usually cite Smash Brawl as the genesis of this interest, though it was really more of a slow burn and frequent exposure to this kind of content rather than some sudden epiphany. I do definitely recall that I was more into growing breasts before full body growth, and that was something you needed to look for directly on the internet, so it was definitely some time in my late teenage years when I really started exploring this fetish. It was also a very long process of understanding exactly what I enjoyed, since size content comes in various flavours. It doesn’t help how personal preferences change wildly from teenage years to adulthood, and from varying personal situations. I think the timeline of my content reflects this aspect quite a lot; most of my works exist as part of this exploration, hence why they don’t always land particularly well x)
#3) What are a few of your favorite works from other creators?
I find myself browsing “normal” stuff far more than size art, owing to my tastes being very borderline in the size category. If we’re just talking size though, I’d probably say OpenHighHat and Beetlebomb are up there as my favourite artists, not just because of their gorgeous art but also just the way they convey relationship dynamics when size is involved (always a plus in my book). I also really enjoy BenevolentBunny’s works, who I’ve been told has taken inspiration from my own works, which does show in both execution and interests. For the 2D side, ZenKisu, Kkasi and Yuhkii (Yukii? Goes by ribuyukii/リブユキイ ) are absolutely amazing and can pique my interest even with sizes that aren’t usually up my alley.

#4) How would you describe your art? What software do you use?
“Mini-giantess” obviously stands out as my main focus, but the magic is really less about the size and more about interactions and dynamics with such a size. While it’s a fantasy, it’s also close enough to reality to imagine what various interactions would feel like, particularly more affectionate positions like cuddling, kissing, or any other way of being close. I love establishing a character’s wholesome affinity towards you or some character before growth, and have that affinity carry on after growing.
Software-wise, I mainly use Blender for just about everything nowadays, even for a lot of the editing work. It’s more to do with my familiarity with that software after years of research work using it as a foundation for a lot of visualisation work.
#5) Any advice for other people who want to become CGI size artists?
Having ideas you want to turn into reality is more important than any skill or resource. Regardless of your talent, you’d probably get bored with size art very quickly if you’re making the same kind of content over and over again. It’s really hard to find a drive to make content that already exists. If you have a drive, you’ll naturally find a way to turn it into reality, no matter what software or medium you use.
#6) Do you have any upcoming projects that you’d like to mention?
I recently released a small text-based game on my Gumroad (https://minmax3d.gumroad.com/l/drained).
The release was pretty quiet, partly because I’m too lazy to make visuals for something louder, but also because it’s more of a proof of concept for a much larger project that I’m actively working on. (For those on my Patreon, it’s not the visual novel, that’ll probably need to wait a bit longer). I’ve been pretty quiet on this project, since I don’t want to set any expectations with time frames just yet. It’s a very similar vibe to my usual content, even though the tags associated with it usually imply something much darker…
