Interview with Heightart, NSFW Artist Using Honey Select To Render Giant Couples

Big Activity by Heightart

Heightart is an artist who uses the software Honey Select to make erotic computer-generated imagery (CGI). Honey Select is an adult-oriented virtual reality game made by Japanese video game developer Illusion. One of my favorite Heightart renderings is “Big Activity” (shown above). It was released in early June and features a normal-sized woman watching a giant man and a giant woman in the cowgirl position. Furthermore, I’ve greatly enjoyed his short videos such as “Growth Experiment” and “Unexpected View.” During my summer vacation I briefly explored British Columbia (BC) and dipped my toes into Radium Hot Springs. That caused me to wonder if any Canadian creators were based out of that lovely province, but I couldn’t think of any. Lo and behold, Heightart is a BC native! Obviously, fate has decreed that the contributions of BC creators be recognized! Accordingly, fans can follow Heightart at DeviantArt and Twitter

#1) Can you tell the readers a little about yourself?

I am a 29 year old male living in BC, Canada. I like playing video games and creating art. I work full time as a computer drafter which I greatly enjoy, but it does take up a lot of my time. I have been creating size content for 3 years, but have been enjoying others’ work for many years before then. I had originally started with hand drawn pieces, but quickly switched to Honey Select when I found it more compatible with my creative style.

#2) How did you first become interested in giant couples?

It took me a while to realize that I liked giant couples. I used to avoid pieces that portrayed them. But eventually I found myself wanting to feel more involved, to be more than a helpless observer to a giantess’s mischief. Being able to participate in the gigantic activities gives a perspective few are privy to. It’s easier for myself to imagine the sensation of being a giant rather than a giantess, and through that I find I can further appreciate the power that a giantess feels in a more relatable manner.

#3) What are a few of your favorite works from other creators?

There’s too many to list, but here are some of my favs!
Starving & The Wrong Target by morefriction
Morning Routine & Couple and Parents by zerohour99
Passing By the Overpass by BoomGTS
Vacation by sihagen
Growing Girl by Robolord123

Beach Boy Toy by Heightart

#4) How would you describe your art?

I’ve often tried to determine what my art is about and how others would describe it. I try to make the pieces somewhat open-ended so people can interpret them how they want and hopefully in that way get more out of it. Ultimately, I think it is an exploration of what people would do if they were bigger than those around them, and how they would behave when given that power. I want it to feel like a world in which it’s not usual for people to encounter giants and giantesses, but it’s still a memorable experience every time.

#5) Any tips for people who want to use Honey Select to make size art? What version do you use, and is it difficult to create giants and growth scenes?

I use Honey Select Unlimited specifically. I personally find it easier to use than other 3d rendering programs. It is fairly simple and it has its limitations but I actually find that to be inspiring. There are pieces that have turned out completely different to how I intended simply because of how Honey Select works. That being said, creating size content is quite easy. You can adjust the individual proportions of a model in the character creator and then adjust that model’s overall scale in the studio space. The game comes with plenty of preset characters, outfits, poses, objects, and maps so you can start creating pieces right away!

#6) Do you have any upcoming projects that you’d like to mention?

Nothing specific at the moment. I plan on doing comics one day, and I’ve always liked the idea of doing visual novels as well. I have stories that I want to tell but can’t with just a single image, so look forward to that one day!

Thank you for doing this interview!

  1. I have a copyright/IP question:

I’ve noticed that HG Well’s Island of Dr Moreau has two recent sequels.

The City of Doctor Moreau by J.S. Barnes &

The Daughter of Doctor Moreau by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

Would a follow-up to Well’s Food of the Gods run afoul of any copyright holders?

    1. I am not a copyright lawyer, but my understanding is that all of the stories written by H.G. Wells are in the public domain now. Thus, anyone can use however much of his stories they want and make sequels, derivative works, etc. His novels are no longer protected by copyright.

However, if a publisher prints a copy of “Island of Dr. Moreau” which includes a foreword written by someone else then that section (any additional analysis/foreword/introduction/etc.) could be copyrighted.

Things could get interesting if someone decided to write their own sequel about Dr. Moreau’s daughter. Silvia Moreno-Garcia owns the copyright to their version, but I don’t think they could protect the mere concept of Moreau having a daughter.

      1. Thank you! I remembered that the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen movie was allowed ‘An Invisible Man’ but not ‘The Invisible Man’ due to legal machinations & other chicanery.

  2. Fascinating! I’ve always wondered who was behind this. The idea of repurposing an adult video game and rigging it to produce Size material is one of the most intriguing concepts I’ve seen in a while. Heightart manages to produce emotionally fraught scenes with some little person being left aside as an absolutely succulent giantess goes to town with some over-tall stud (and she glances at him with a “you see why it has to be this way, right?” expression), or else some hapless little person stuck between two amorous titans, intentionally or otherwise. I appreciate his philosophy of freedom being what you can think of to do within limitations. Great interview.
