Good morning everyone,
Today on the Size Advent Calendar we’re going to examine a free comic! What better way to celebrate this festive time of year, but with a gift from a talented CGI artist. “Christmas Duties” was made by Braden-GTS and is free on Gumroad. (SIDE NOTE: Click here for an interview with Braden-GTS.) Christmas Duties was first released on Christmas Eve in 2021. This 12-page, including the cover, comic featured GtsKayla and a tiny unnamed fellow, presumably a stand-in for Braden-GTS himself.
The plot is similar to the other holiday stories already covered during this advent calendar insomuch as it is another simple tale. This time the plot is about a dedicated and diminutive office worker who is neglecting his comparatively gigantic friend Kayla! There were no growth or shrinking scenes. All characters maintained the same size throughout. Nor was there any sex scenes. However, there was topless female nudity!
The story involved the giantess Kayla convincing her studious tiny to leave work behind and spend time with her instead. The need to dedicate time and affection toward the ones we love is a lesson which surely applies to many of us during this busy part of year.
Regarding areas to improve, it is particularly difficult to critique a free work. When a comic costs nothing then a reader can hardly complain if it is not 100% in accordance with their tastes. Accordingly, my critiques are rather mild.
For example, there were a few typos such as one instance of “they” being used on Page 2 when “the” was correct. Additionally, most grievous of all, the “Eve” in Christmas Eve was not capitalized on Page 3. Those are truly unforgivable sins I know 😉
Overall, Christmas Duties is strongly recommended! Click here to get this comic and peruse many of the other illustrated stories offered by Braden-GTS. I found “Growth Curious,” 60+ images selling for $6, to also be a fun gentle growth comic 🙂
