Interview with Jake, a.k.a. JustJake, BE and GTS Artist

Jake, a.k.a. JustJake, is a relatively new yet prolific artist who has already created hundreds of homages to various popular characters. He has taken inspiration from popular Japanese franchises and rendered ladies such as Fire Emblem’s Shamir, Mario’s Princess Peach, My Hero Academia’s Mt. Lady, Persona 4’s Naoto Shirogane, etc., with enlarged breasts and enhanced stature. These ladies appear in short animations, single images, and short comics. One of my favorite mini-series, “MHA – Heroes on the rise!”, involves a villain making several My Hero Academia heroines grow! Fans can follow Jake on Pixiv and X/Twitter. Furthermore, folks can support Jake via Patreon.

#1) Can you tell the readers a little about yourself?

Hello everyone, my name is Jake! I’m from the Netherlands and am currently attending college for Media and Graphic design. When I’m not drawing giant expanding ladies I’m playing video games. Mostly Nintendo games, I love Mario, Zelda and Metroid. And some none Nintendo stuff includes, Persona, Sonic the Hedgehog, Resident Evil, XCOM and Final Fantasy. But I play a large variety of games. Lots of which inspire me to draw some huge and growing women.

#2) How did you first become interested in breast expansion (BE) and giantesses (GTS)?

When I was really young there was an episode of an anime called “Flint the Time Detective” wherein one of the female characters started getting bigger and outgrowing her clothes. I dunno why they thought showing this to young kids would be a good idea, but something in my brain sparked and caused me to think about women growing a lot!. And then I kept thinking and thinking, until it took up at least 50% of my brain space. I dunno why it stuck with me so much, or if I would ever have been into giantess if I never saw that episode. But I’m honestly glad it happened like this because I love some good growing and size scenarios. But it’s not something I discuss in real life. So I mostly just lurked online to find other people that were interested in the same thing I was. Which, turns out there’s a LOT of people that also enjoying enlarging ladies. There’s a lot more cartoons and anime that have giant/growing women in them. And I always enjoy when they show up.

#3) What are a few of your favorite art pieces, comics, or stories from other creators?

One of the first artists I found was Zabuzabotz on Deviantart a lot of years ago. He made a lot of very cute growth and expansion comics that inspired me to start making my own. Chet Rippo/@The_Tits_of_Mio is also a huge inspiration. I loved his Fire Emblem outgrowing the monastery series, lots of different kinds of growth and really fun character interactions. AZmaybe9’s animations are also up there for me. (EDITOR’S NOTE: Click here for an interview with AZmaybe9) A lot of excellent growth scenarios, with great environmental and character interactions. There are a lot of size content creators I really love, these are just the ones I’ve known the longest.

#4) The characters in your drawings originate in Japan. Have you ever been there?

I haven’t been to Japan yet. I was actually planning on visiting this year. But it turns out that Japan is quite the scorching place to be during the summer. I was told it would be so hot you’d just want to sit in an air-conditioned room all day. Which seems like a waste of traveling to such an beautiful country, not being able to see any of the sights. But I am definitely planning on going soon!

#5) How would you describe your art?

I think it would be mostly silly and cute with a bit of sexy thrown in there. I always enjoy exploring how a character would react to suddenly getting bigger or their body changing. Do they enjoy it? Does it scare them? How do the people around them deal with it? I like there to be a reason for the growth to happen. But just “Suddenly huge woman!” is also enjoyable.

#6) Do you have any advice for people who want to create their own art?

If you want to start making your own art, the only advice I have for you is to just start doing it! The first drawing, animation or render you make is gonna look terrible. That’s just how it is. The only way to improve is to keep trying and trying new things. Never give up! And just draw what you think would be neat!

#7) What rewards do you give to Patreon supporters? Are there any upcoming projects you would like to mention?

My Patreon is really more of a tip jar, I don’t really have any incentives for people to support me. But I’m thankful to all the people that do, despite not giving anything other than my art in return.

My plans change on the fly. But there’s a lot more bigger and growing ladies that I have plans for! Please look forward to some more HUGE stuff!

Thank you for doing this interview!
