Requested Review: “Growing Scared” by TaylorMadeClips

Hello everyone,

As noted in the two previous posts, today features a trio of requested reviews. This third and last review will cover “Growing Scared” from TaylorMadeClips (TMC). An anonymous X/Twitter user requested this in late January.

The preview screenshot at Clips4Sale is terrible. Looks like it was taken between two different frames.

Growing Scared is a short clip released in late August 2011 with a four minutes twenty seconds runtime. The action begins with an off-screen woman talking to an on-screen woman wearing an orange Hooters tank top. The two are recording a weight-gain scenario in which the Hooters woman (played by a performer only identified as “Beth”) will become so fat that she will have to be rolled out. To be clear this was not a “performer magically gains weight” clip. There was only brief height increase to mini-giantess (ergo not bigger than the room or building) dimensions while maintaining initial proportions. She did not become bustier or curvier.

After their brief discussion, Beth was left alone and began to monologue. Beth discussed the types of fetishes (such as farting, peeing, shrinking people, and weight gain) she enjoys filming, but stressed repeatedly that she does not want to do “growth stuff.” Then she complained about the room decorations, what she called “weird shit on the wall,” and asserted that the other girl was a “freak.” Lastly, she claimed that she did want to gain some weight and accordingly grabbed the nearby rice krispies treat. Consuming the treat (presumably, but more on that later) initiated transformation.

This might be considered non-consensual body change because the character did not want to grow. However, no one forced her. So, this was not non-consensual in the sense that no one compelled her to ingest a growth agent. Instead, she exercised free will and grabbed it. Argument could be made that the other woman placed the treat nearby in the hope that Beth would eat it. Alternatively, maybe Beth had other plans. Perhaps Beth wanted someone else to have it. Regardless, this clip featured a person who did not want to grow and that was the main theme.

A handheld camera was used throughout which often led to sharp angles and shakiness. One example can be seen below. According to MasterClass, an online education platform, the Dutch angle is a canted or oblique angle used to “… enhance a disorienting or uneasy feeling in a scene.

Note the snack on the stool to Beth’s left. It will be the MacGuffin.

I would have expected a Dutch angle after Beth ate the “magic” rice krispies. (SIDE NOTE: Wish the catalyst was something more unusual, like a bubbling liquid.) Using a Dutch angle after the process had started would indicate uneasy as Beth realizes that something incredible and disorienting is happening. Instead, as can be seen above, the Dutch angle was used even before she ate. It would have been better to mount the camera on a tripod for the initial monologue then switch to handheld camera with crazy and unsteady angles during the next sequence.

By the way, she never actually took a bite out of the rice krispies treat. She raised the sweet snack to her mouth and then the camera cut. Which was a little odd. Maybe the performer hates rice krispies? (Blasphemy!) The production crew should have found something the performer would have been willing to bite into. Less likely, maybe the rectangular confection was unconnected to the enlargement! Viewers never see her take a bite. Therefore, it is possible that the food was a red herring and thus she would have expanded no matter what she did or did not eat.

This Corrosion” by Lambchop played for about half a minute at the beginning of her expansion and then the music stopped. It resumed several moments later to play for another 13 seconds and also returned at the end. The song’s inclusion begs the question did TMC have permission? There’s no mention of the song or the band which produced it in the Clips4Sale description. Luckily, music recognition software Shazam was able to identify the catchy tune. It is of course possible that TMC spoke with Lambchop beforehand. Although, if I had used someone else’s work I would note that in writing. Until told otherwise, I’ll be charitable and assume they had the proper rights. (SIDE NOTE: The song’s lyrics, such as “Gimme the ring, kissed and toll’d,” do not relate to size increase.)

Jewelry and clothing destruction are always welcome sights!

Clothing destruction included a broken bracelet, Hooters tank top, necklace, panties, and a ring on her finger. Beth was completely naked at the end. Not bad! Additionally, the performer stood on top of something (just off camera) to give her more stature. It was a well-executed outfit ruining metamorphosis, but did not go far enough. That assessment depends on your personal tastes. I like it when women outgrow their clothes and then the very building in which they occupy. In this case the only comparison which could be made was the privacy screen behind her. Initially, those wooden panels were over her head, but by the end she was taller than them.

I don’t like to brag, but I did take PHYS2030 through 2033 (College Physics with Lab) at Hawaii Pacific University. Professor taught the Fourth Law of Thermodynamics which states “No matter how incredibly large a person may become their piercings will always fit perfectly.” Never heard of the Fourth Law? Guess you need to go back to school! 😉

Giantesses at TMC most often are only two to three feet taller than normal. In fact, I cannot recall a single instance in which they had a 50-foot woman or anyone taller than a building. Bottom line, whether you prefer mini-giantesses or giantesses will impact whether or not you appreciate this production.

Personally, I have mixed feelings. On one hand considering the low visual resolution and the relatively high price ($10 for a 4-minute clip) this is tough to recommend. Ten bucks is a fair amount of money for a short clip and that cash would be better spent elsewhere.

On the other hand, there was some effort. I do not think what they tried worked. I was not left with the feeling that this was a memorable and/or sexy clip. Nonetheless, it was nice to see the inclusion of an alternative country song and visual techniques like severe angles and brief black and white segments. The creators tried to make this artistic and such initiative should be celebrated.

That’s it for today folks. Come back soon to There She Grows. One cannot say for sure what will be reviewed next, but long-range sensors detected strange activity in the Ghost Head Nebula. Ominous signs indicate that Solomon E may return…

I always liked the clothes ripping scenes from the TMC clips, but I always feel their clips could do more with some shoebusting scenes especially with a more diverse selection of shoes (usually its been the more easy fabric think strappy heel of some sort, would be great to see a name brand peeptoe or pointed toe, or for this one, a pair of white Skechers). That’s always a cherry on top for me and usually a deciding factor in clip shopping.

That is one thing I love about the MediaImpact/Growth Dreams films, is that they have done a diverse selection of shoes getting busted. Over the years, they did everything from a pair of simple flip flops, to pointed toe heels to pairs of chucks (some of my favorites, love seeing those toecaps bust open!) It would be great to see TMC pick up on this because otherwise their clips are usually pretty good and hot. Seemed CKsmadworld was good there too though they dropped off a cliff sadly.

/ Does feel that the beginning of the clip does a great parody of where a lot of clip studios had headed (fart/weight gain). Feels like every C4S store I followed does this lately. Granted most of these are usually funded by a buyer, so someone that’s really into that must be making it rain for them, so I can’t blame the studios… I might get this clip just for making fun of that. Lol.
