Once more Solomon E has arrived to bless the unworthy public with deliciously diabolical opinions of size horror!
Today’s article involves discussion of bloody and gory demise so gentle fans take heed; this may not be for you. This post will cover an interactive visual novel entitled “Dorm Till Dawn 2” from R. B. Ashton. (SIDE NOTE: Click here to read a 2025 interview with him.) Dorm Till Dawn 2 was released in mid-December 2025. At first it was only available from Ashton’s subscription sites and stores, but then it become available via Steam for a cost of $19.99. In this game you play as either a girl or a guy at a special place dedicated to people with an uncontrollable size-changing affliction. Of note, a DLC (downloadable content) add-on called “Double Hic” was released in April 2026, but this review will just cover the original game.

You play as a boarding student at a college, used to isolate affected individuals from society, where you are expected to reside for an indeterminate period. While this is the second installment in a series, no previous experience is required to play. There were options to learn about the college, St Fiacre’s College for Women of Unreliable Size in the Scottish Highlands, and the world where this takes place, Sensus Supra. In Sensus Supra there is a size-changing condition which typically affects young women between the ages of 17 and 20 years old, but also affects a few young men. About twenty years ago, asteroids disintegrated over Mexico and released strange particles called Xm-96 which spread across the world. When affected individuals experience heightened emotions they may either grow to heights from 9 to 100 feet or shrink to heights from 1 foot down to microscopic scales. These changes can last days to weeks or even longer. Furthermore, those with this condition, called “the Hiccups,” are prone to swallowing smaller people.

The player’s character awakens after undergoing a shrinking incident and immediately the character’s friend Jet tasks you to enact revenge on a student called Bayley. By the way, you can pick your gender and name. Jet wants you to navigate Bayley’s dorm and plant poisonous mushrooms to avenge a friend who Bayley had killed. This is a dangerous task and there are many ways to wind up dead such as being crushed by a comparatively huge butt, foot, or hand plus being swallowed by one of the cute co-eds. Alternatively, one of the ladies may permanently capture the player.

The most significant factor for a potential customer to consider is whether or not they can tolerate repetitive gameplay. For instance, if you fail to live through a confrontation you can easily backtrack and try a different approach, but that means revisiting old dialogue and scenes. However, even with the repetition this was short. A person can easily finish in a day. “Finish” meaning the main character survived and found evidence to use against another character who had been torturing tinies. It only took me 6 hours (including long breaks to record footage and take screenshots) to earn 16 out of 19 achievements. (SIDE NOTE: The Steam client shows a total of 24 achievements, but the game itself only lists 19. The extra achievements come with the DLC.)
Most of the gameplay consists of moving from one still shot to another, but certain choices trigger short animations which are slightly different depending on the character’s chosen gender. Per the Steam store, there are over 40 animated sequences. These are bloody, but the artificial appearance of 3D computer graphics makes blood and gore less impactful.

Regarding areas to improve, there are a few. The most significant problem was the inventory mechanic. The game kinda tracks what items you have picked up and that does change things, but there is no inventory screen for a player to check. The previous sentence included the disclaimer “kinda” because in one instance the interface presented an option to plant a ring underneath a wardrobe, but I had not yet found that ring. Later playthroughs revealed that another student had the ring in her pocket, but at the time I had no idea where it was.

On one occasion I had taken too long at an earlier stage so unbeknownst to me there was no way to win. Even though there were several dialogue options and choices still to be made none of them mattered because my fate was sealed no matter what. That can be frustrating when you try five different options, including one that led to four more choices, and every single thing results in failure. The solution was to load an earlier save and take less time in the previous stage. Thankfully, a player can save at any point or use the “Back” button to undo one or more choices.
There are also minor things to improve such as several spelling errors. The most egregious was a menu which gave the option to “Complement her beauty.” That should have been “Compliment her beauty.”

Overall, I cannot recommend Dorm Till Dawn 2 to cruel giantess fans. They may appreciate the challenge of finding every crush and vore-themed CGI animation, but they will have to overlook the lack of polish and the inventory bug.
