Interview with BatDas12, Writer behind Giantess Fan’s “Teacher’s Pet,” “The Curse of Saletine,” and “Unstoppable Hunger”

BatDas12 is a writer for Interweb Comics (IWC), the publisher behind Giantess Fan, Shrink Fan, Vore Fan, and other fetish comic sites. At IWC, BatDas12 wrote the series “Teacher’s Pet,” “The Curse of Saletine,” and “Unstoppable Hunger.” Additionally, BatDas12 has posted many free stories on the Giantess City Forum. Several of these, such as “Breakout,” “Cookies for Santa,” and “Trick or Treat,” center around the theme of “growing by eating.” Additionally, BatDas12 provided the impetus for the Mrs. Turner series at Giantess Club. Interested fans can read BatDas12 original treatment for Mrs Turner on his page on DeviantArt, as well as many other stories!

#1) Can you tell the readers a little about yourself?

I live in Europe and work a simple retail job. It’s nothing particularly glamorous or exciting but it’s a good steady job that also gives me plenty of free time to follow my hobbies, such as music, video games and of course writing!

#2) How did you first become interested in size-fetish themes, like giantesses?

I think it was mainly from what I saw on TV growing up. I can distinctly remember enjoying the remake of Attack of the 50ft Woman a lot and there were loads of cartoons out there which would surprise you with giantess content, such as Archie’s Weird Mysteries and many others.

#3) Are any of your everyday acquaintances aware of your interest?

No, I keep that part of myself private

#4) What are a few of your favorite works from other creators?

There’s so many to pick from! Lately I’ve been enjoying the work by Dinner-Kun who does great stories, as well as Just-Add-Water99, who has managed to do great things with a simple idea. Caiman2 and ZeroHour99 are also great and have produced some of the best giantess artwork I have ever seen. On the video side of things both Azmaybe9 and AnAlternativeUsername produce some great giantess videos that really go the extra mile in the animation department. I really like the stories done by Pettyexpo as well!

I’d also like to recommend Big-Elsa, who not only does great stuff with 3D models but we’ve also collaborated together on a few things, such as the comic Mom’s Hunger as well as a couple of captions for images.

#5) How would you describe your stories?

The main theme is definitely giantess growth. The whole “shrinking interaction” that’s also very popular has never interested me. Generally I’ll come up with the basic idea and sometimes I have specific parts in mind that I’d like to include but with other parts they just form while I’m writing the story.

I generally like to write a fuller world with fleshed out, developed characters. While it is fetish fiction I do think there should be some depth to it with it or else it all gets a bit samey after a while. Some stories can be different though. I first got into giantess writing when I wanted to see more of the whole ”Growing by eating” scenario, which is easily my favourite type of growth. After I wasn’t able to find any I just decided to take a stab at it and started writing Unstoppable Hunger and it took off from there. Some of my later stories could be described as “Stories that just happen to have a giantess” – I think if you took the giantess stuff out of Mrs. Turner you’d still have a pretty solid erotic-romance story, for example.

I also like to write at a slow pace, allow the audience to savour the giantess’s transformation every step of the way without rushing through things. It also allows the characters to develop and lead to a fuller story.

#6) The first issue of Teacher’s Pet ended in the middle of the action with the teacher outgrowing a building and then saying “Let’s have some fun!” It’s been almost two years since that initial issue was released, can we expect to see a second issue this year? Also, any idea how long Unstoppable Hunger will run; how many issues do you want to write?

There will definitely be more issues of Teacher’s Pet but unfortunately I don’t know when, that’s up to the higher-ups at Giantess Fan. I find out the same time as everyone else! I don’t have a set number of parts in mind for Unstoppable Hunger but it won’t be for very long. It’ll not be the same length as the original story! With writing an adaptation and condensing the original story you can never quite tell what will happen – I could start to write Part 4 as just another part and suddenly find myself making it into the finale of the story.

#7) It could be interesting to get an ongoing comic with recurring characters, like a Captain America or a Superman but with size-fetish themes. A similar approach has been done before in adult comic strips such as “Honey,” “Little Annie Fanny,” “Oh, Wicked Wanda!”, and “Queen Gazonga.” As a writer for Giantess Fan, do you think such an approach could be viable?

I have actually re-used the two protagonists from The Curse of Saletine in an upcoming comic, as it features two treasure hunters and they fit that role pretty well.

#8) Are there any other upcoming projects that you would like to mention?

I’m still writing for Giantess Fan with lots of ideas and a new comic called “Gems of the Lost City” on the way. I’ve also got a few more ideas for stories developing and have also started to write a giantess fan fiction story which I haven’t done before and might explore further. There’s also the work I’m doing with Big-Elsa which is still ongoing.

Thank you very much for taking the time to do this interview!
