Review of Giantess Club’s “Project Overman”

Project Overman
Should that be “Threat Against Germany”?

Project Overman is a four-part series produced by BotComics and written by Saburo X, with the first bit released in 2013 and the last published in 2014. Individual issues can be purchased for $4.99, or the complete series can be had for $19.96 at the following link: https://giantessclub.com/series/project-overman-full-series/  Although, it would be nicer if they gave you a discount when you buy the complete set.

Karina Schwarzwald
The evil giantess Karina Schwarzwald

The fact that Saburo X gave the antagonist the family name “Schwarzwald,” Black Forest in German, was a nice touch. Sex scenes included American giantess Mary Thompson masturbating, as well as having sex with her husband. The overwhelming majority of the art was in black and white with occasional dashes of color on the cover and on American flags during a victory parade. There was lots of destruction with women outgrowing clothes and buildings, and then smashing aircraft and tossing tanks to the ground. Eventually, the two giantesses square off, grappling, trading punches, and one even strikes the other with a tank.

The panel on the right is a playful homage to Rosie the Riveter as seen on the left. However, it seems that the dialogue was meant to come from the scientist Dr. Silverstein.

I appreciated the artwork and its use of shadows

Regarding nitpicks, the description states that:

In the summer of 1943, the remains of a downed USAF reconnaissance squadron were discovered by the United States military.

Technically, in the summer of 1943 the air arm of the United States military would have been the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF). The United States Air Force (USAF) did not exist until September 1947. Additionally, there was a reference to the 77th Infantry being in Okinawa on September 16, 1943, but they actually arrived in Okinawa in 1945. Also, the wrong United States flag was used.

US Flag
The flag above is anachronistic, it has only been in use since 1960 with the addition of Alaska and Hawaii as states in 1959.

Overall, I loved this comic. None of the mistakes were enough to keep me from enjoying it. Now if we could get more historical giantess fiction, perhaps set in World War I, that would be great!

Doc Ur a genius
I heartily concur 🙂
