Interview with artClonov, drawing giantess and big women since 2020

artClonov is an artist who has focused on drawing giantesses and growing woman since 2020. Often, he provides previews on Twitter with more complete or more explicit versions available to Patreon supporters. Drawings include characters from well-known media properties such as Final Fantasy’s Tifa Lockhart, My Hero Academy’s Mt. Lady, Nintendo’s Princess Peach, and more! In addition to parodying famous fictional heroines, artClonov has also created a few original characters such as Emily, Lena, Maya, and Maxine. #1) Can you tell readers a little about yourself?

Hi! I’m Clonov (or artClonov). English is like my second and a half language, people will probably notice that. I hope they can forgive my sometimes broken English (it’s a lot more noticeable when I am sleep deprived lol).

I’m a graphic design student. That had to stop when the pandemic started and I sadly haven’t gone back yet (when finances are more stable, I plan on going back to get my degree). For now I’m trying to get into the animation industry. I love animated movies, and it would be real nice to work on some project like that. One about giants, hopefully!

I’ve always been a fan of size content. I’ve been lurking in the shadows for years until a couple friends convinced me to start this account when they heard I draw. I was super nervous back then (still am, a bit lol). But hopefully I’m doing ok.

I always try to do art that I like and enjoy, but hopefully other people will enjoy it too!

#2) How did you first become interested in big women?

Ok so my size fantasies involving big females started when I was a kid. My crush when I was 8 or 9 was taller than me back then and I started having these super innocent fantasies about her being MUCH taller than me. At some point I just started having innocent size fantasies in general. As I grew older, I started having less innocent fantasies. Then at some I made a very specific google search, found out I am not the only one… and now here I am!

(Some movies like Monsters vs Aliens, and the giants you could see on TV (ahemtotallyspiesahem) some times also helped)

#3) What are a few of your favorite works from other artists?

Ok so I am a big fan of a lot of people’s work. There are so many talented people out there producing stuff for the size community, that it blows my mind. I’m a big fan of Raps’ angels. I LOVE Hunter Rank E’s Planet. I’m also a fan of some of the people you’ve interviewed! BradenGTS and Sihagen, for example, really nice artists and people. Of course also Spitty, AZmaybe9… I mean, come on, Karbo, Kazo, Uru… (some of those artists are not for the faint of heart tho…). I could literally be here all day naming artists I admire but I’ll stop (I am missing like a hundred more artists though). As an artist, you wouldn’t believe how exhilarating it is when some of them decide to follow me or give like to some of my drawings. It’s like a dream come true (I mentioned earlier that I was lurking for years before I started these accounts. I was a fan before I started posting art haha)

#4) How would you describe your own art?

Hopefully cute. Hopefully sexy, at least quite NSFW. In general, hopefully fun (though I’m aware a number of my works are only fun for a very specific group of people). Some of my art is very personal, even if I try to make it likeable for more people.

Um…. the style I am using at the moment is anime-ish, but I always have my pixar/disney influences in mind. I am not sure if other people notice them, but they’re there. And at the moment, for patreon and twitter these days, it’s gentle size content.

I’ve drawn not-so-gentle content in the past, but not so much since I joined Patreon (they don’t like not-so-gentle).

#5) What rewards are provided to your Patreon supporters?

Well, at the very least, they can see my content a couple days before I post it on twitter. Depend on the tier they’re at, as supporters, there are some exclusives, specifically some variants of art I’ve done, like nude, bikini or barefoot version of drawings I do. They can sometimes see WIPs of my works. Right now I am in the middle of the growth comic, and they can help the ladies grow with votes on polls. When there’s no growth comic, I request them to vote on polls to see what I draw that month… And also interaction, if they want my patrons can join my discord server, where we sometimes chat about some present and future projects, and people sometimes suggest stuff (and I listen closely lol).

#6) Any upcoming projects you’d like to mention?

After I finish this comic (EDITOR’S NOTE: Growth Drive 2022) I have a few new stories I want to draw. Some of them involving my current OCs, enjoying, or dealing with the results of the current growth… but other stories will involve a new mini-gts character that will allow me to explore other types of interactions! She’ll be a bit more dominant than the OCs I’ve drawn until now.

I also really, really want to start working on practicing some animation again!
