“Leon’s Growing Desire” by ZZZ Comics

Good morning everyone,

This review will cover “Leon’s Growing Desire” by ZZZ Comics. There She Grows has not reviewed ZZZ’s stories in quite a while! The last post about them, ZZZ Comics Top 5 and Bottom 5 Illustrated Series, appeared over five years ago in June 2020.

In mid-August Njord alerted me to this series from ZZZ’s “Bigger and Bigger Giants” Patreon. (SIDE NOTE: Click here for an interview with Njord and click here to read his Halloween story “The Tracks in the Woods.”)

The first Leon’s Growing Desire popped up in mid-February 2025 and the sequel followed in mid-August. Before ZZZ released the complete issues he put out individual pages (in black and white then colored) intermittently via Patreon. The premiere issue was 21-pages long (including the cover, title page, and a company advertisement at the end) while the sequel was slightly shorter coming in at 20 pages total. Most pages had four panels and they were all in color. Regrettably, ZZZ did not credit the artist as the line work was great and well-suited for bulging muscles.

My guess is that the artist “WG,” credited on ZZZ’s “Bigness Cream 2,” did the pencils and colors for Leon’s Growing Desire because the art for these two series look similar.

The plot of Leon’s Growing Desire features Anya, a lab assistant, and Leon, a college math professor. (SIDE NOTE: Is there anything sexier than a man who knows not only how to do integral calculus, but how to teach others to do likewise? Ladies love a man who studies the areas beneath their curves 😉 )

I appreciate that the artist drew Leon with a bit of a paunch.

Helpfully, Anya works at a laboratory designing a “soldier augmentation drug” ergo the MacGuffin of this particular growth story is a super soldier formula. Anya and Leon were joined by other characters such as Tyler “Ty” who is a stereotypical bully and Leon’s roommate (sad fact that a college professor who cannot afford his own place is a plausible story element) and a video game enthusiast called Nero (Tyler calls him a “little nerd”).

The Bigger and Bigger Giants Patreon (a subdivision of ZZZ Comics) emphasizes male growth. Presumably, the decision to launch Bigger and Bigger Giants was to make a line of comics focused on men growing large as opposed to older ZZZ comics which focused on women growing larger. Although, there are several other illustrated stories such as Bigness Camp, Colossal Size Cheat, and Farm Grown which also featured men becoming bigger so the distinction may be hard to notice. Furthermore, based on the Patreon’s “About” section, Bigger and Bigger Giants only has heterosexual relationships.

I took this screenshot of Bigger and Bigger Giants “About” section on September 7, 2025.

Maybe the Bigger and Bigger Giants imprint will eventually further distinguish itself by branching off into gay, male-on-male, comics. As is, in Leon’s Growing Desire each of the male leads grow as well as supporting male characters, but there were no hints or nods to homosexuality.

Additionally, it was not just men who became larger, but also women as well. Anya herself grew bigger after giving Leon a blowjob. Of note female growth was less significant but permanent while male growth was dramatically bigger, but temporary with male subjects shrinking down to only a little bit bigger than their starting measurements.

So, there were lots of panels featuring men outgrowing their clothes and in one case outgrowing an entire apartment building. Leon also lost fat and developed bigger muscles as he became taller. Plus the first issue included a sex scene between Anya and Leon.

Overall, I recommend Leon’s Growing Desire to growth fans. The narrative does not set itself apart or break new ground compared to previous ZZZ comics, but it once again hits the mark for growth fans as multiple men take turns surpassing one another. I for one am excited to read the third installment after seeing the last panel of issue 2 which reads in part “Second hand dose of the formula is significantly amplified, and I just injected you with the remainder of the strongest stuff I could …” That was a perfect hook to make growth fans eager for the follow-up!

Before closing this piece, I want to include Njord’s thoughts:

“Leon’s Growing Desire” and ZZZ’s entire Bigger and Bigger Giants enterprise is a colossal step forward for fans of male growth in size art. Too long underrepresented in our comics (other than ZZZ’s own, thanks to his many fun romps with giant couples), we now get to see a growing guy enjoying the same arc usually given to a mousy woman protagonist: Shrimpy guy finds himself Adonisified and embiggened by his statuesque girlfriend’s experimental formula, more than able to please her in bed, and far more impressive than his meathead roommate. Rinse and repeat at different scales for a few other nerdy guys who get exposed to the formula, and you have a recipe for sizey success! [Insert artist’s name—why doesn’t ZZZ put the person’s name on the second page of the comic??] is a master of swelling muscle to superhuman proportions without slipping into the grotesque, perfect person for the job.

That is it for today folks. Stay tuned to There She Grows for more editorials, interviews, and reviews coming soon!

I took this screenshot on August 19, 2025 Japan time. Unfortunately, the sales page at Itch.io did not give the page count so customers did not know whether they were buying a short or a long comic.

I really wished that Persons of Mass Destruction had retained the Giant Couples theme.

You and me both, Paul. Wouldn’t it be great to see a little more M/F action from Navarro and Cabrera?
