Good morning everyone,

Before we start, I must warn sensitive readers that this post was written by a maverick rule breaker. Just recently, I smuggled a pumpkin spice latte, via a travel mug hidden in a bag, into a movie theater during a showing of “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” Thus, I think we can all agree this post was written by a rebel who can’t be tamed 😎

With badassery established beyond any reasonable doubt, let us now turn to the actual topic of today’s post, Ludella Hahn’s “Pump It Up!” (NOTE: I first became aware of this particular video in Alyssa the Comic Book Babe’s interview, click her to read that.)

This 29-minute long video was first released in mid-July 2017. It stars Ludella as a college student who just had her coffee money stolen by a muscular classmate called Moira. This bullying motivates our heroine to get “swole,” ergo become extremely muscular, and show Moira who’s the boss!

Ludella’s quest for revenge begins with the consumption of a “Pump Up” power bar:

The results are dramatic and immediately visible!

After beefy up her left bicep, Ludella decides to stream this progression on her rival’s Facebook page:

I love that these amateur productions incorporate real-world sites like Facebook into their narratives.

I questioned Ludella’s tactics, because she films herself eating another piece of the bar and thus gave away the secret behind her rapid muscle growth! What’s to keep Moira from buying a bar herself and likewise bulking up? Maybe it would have been best to keep that under wraps 🙂

The rest of this clip consists of a few sequences of Ludella flexing, followed by a sharp boom sound, and then Ludella instantly adding inches to her arms and bust! Of interest, Ludella does not dwell on harming her foe. She could have threaten to enact grievous physical harm on Moira, but instead was more interested in boasting of her ever-increasing strength and outrageous curves.

Okay, the balloons under the shirt aren’t exactly realistically depicted musculature, but the performance was good 🙂

She trades messages with Moira and dominates through this interaction. Eventually, Moira seems to surrender and states that she wants to worship newly-empowered Ludella! That concludes the plot.

^ I would have liked something like this real-time chat footage to actually show Moira’s messages. Screenshot taken from 2014’s “Unfriended.”

The main draw for this clip was Ludella’s performance as she really sells her desire to “outgrow” her opponent. That noted, I would appreciate it if someone stepped in and gifted more substantial funding to enable realistic special effects. Even something like this short bit from Pluto Nash would be preferable:

Screenshot taken from 2002’s “The Adventures of Pluto Nash.” Its inclusion does not indicate endorsement; trust me, this is a bad movie!

Unfortunately, there was no nudity or sex and Ludella was the only performer. Furthermore, were the practical visual effects (that’s to say, balloons) used to simulate instantaneous muscle gain believable? Of course not. Yet, this was still enjoyable. I recommend Pump It Up! to female muscle growth fans. That’s it for now folks. Thursday’s post will cover two stories written by Amber Collins, one was requested by Paul Berry on July 29th and the other by Darrin Hill on September 4th. Until then, keep growing!
